Tina Cahill, M.Ed.
South Shore Bank is proud to spotlight its corporator, Tina Cahill, M.Ed., the Executive Director of Recovered Souls. A charitable foundation based in Quincy, Recovered Souls assists those struggling with addiction by providing transportation to rehabilitation facilities and assistance with food and housing. In addition, the organization offers career training and college admissions guidance. “The college admissions process is a daunting task for anyone, but especially for the vulnerable population that Recovered Souls serves,” says Cahill. “We help them navigate a path, because setting and achieving personal and professional goals are a vital part of recovery; rehab alone is not enough.”
Cahill has extensive experience in supporting students and building relationships, as she has devoted her career to education at every level. She spent thirteen years as a teacher in Quincy and then worked in alumni relations at Archbishop Williams High School. From there she went on to Quincy Community College as Associate Vice President of Enrollment Management and Institutional Advancement. Cahill has also served as the Chair of Thomas Crane Public Library and the Quincy College Trust.
Cahill appreciates that she was asked to bring her knowledge and perspective to South Shore Bank as a corporator. “Having multiple corporators from several different backgrounds and industries provides wide-ranging opinions that broaden vision,” she says. “South Shore Bank’s commitment to ‘Sharing Success’ resonates with me. I see it in the bank’s altruistic actions and I see it in our work at Recovered Souls. When you operate from the position that the support you provide to organizations and individuals will then be shared throughout the community, it truly embodies South Shore Bank’s statement: Your Success is Our Success.”
