South Shore Bank Announces New Director of Treasury Services and Municipal Banking

Robert DiGiovanni joins South Shore Back as Director of Treasury Services and Municipal Banking. Robert (Bob) DiGiovanni brings 25 years of banking experience and a solid record of providing innovative cash management solutions. In his new position, Bob will lead the bank’s expansion and increased emphasis on cash management services for commercial customers.

As Director of Treasury Services and Municipal Banking, Bob will oversee sales and services related to automated clearing house, wire transfers, lockbox, positive pay, remote deposit capture, business online banking, account analysis and third-party vendor management. In addition, he will manage the strategic direction for Treasury Service related to technology and third-party relationships. Over the last year, the pandemic has changed the way people bank. One of Bob’s top priorities is to help clients adapt to these changing times, with an emphasis on electronic banking and mobile services so that clients can bank efficiently with added convenience. Bob will work closely with the leadership of Commercial Banking, Retail Banking and Wealth Management teams.

Bob DiGiovanni is ready to build a team that is not only the best for South Shore Bank but the clients they serve. “My goal is to build the best treasury services team on the South Shore and offer our clients the latest solutions and technologies so they can easily manage their cash flows and reduce risk, allowing them to more easily focus on growing their business.”

Prior to joining South Shore Bank, he spent 20 years at Eastern Bank, holding positions across the banking spectrum, most recently as Senior Vice President and Director of Retail Banking. He spent nearly five years at Northern Bank as Senior Vice President and General Manager of Retail Banking and Treasury Services. Bob is a Massachusetts native and resides in Scituate. He was a member of the Eastern Bank President’s Club and has earned several awards during his banking career, including the Eastern Bank Corporate Leader of the Year and Eastern Bank Pinnacle Club Award.
